Expeditions assisted by " Aconcagua Trek" during the

Season 2001/2002

Our organization
" ACONCAGUA TREK" assisted 131 groups of diverse nationalities during the season 2001/2002, each one formed for more than two people. 90% of them were foreign groups while the remaining ones were formed by Argentinean citizens.

The percentage of PERSONAL ascents to the summit was the following: through North or Normal route, 42,71% and through the Glacier of Poles Route or the False Poles Route, 54,62%.

As for the ascents of GROUPS, nearly 65,64% of them succeeded in putting at least one member on the summit of America.

These figures show that the "ACONCAGUA TREK´S" advice sent to the groups before arriving to The Aconcagua, the logistical support of terrestrial transports and loads by LOS PUQUIOS' mules in addition to an appropriate feeding and attention in the camps, have been efficient enough to allow the percentage of people reaching the summit to be bigger this season than the previous ones.
