He has reached the summit of Aconcagua many times. He has climbed one hundred summits between 3000 and 6000 mts.      

He has also been a qualified representing of sportive institutions and mountaineering magazines.     

From 1979 he performs as a successful organizer to Aconcagua and other mountains of Central Andes     

In 1997 by a special resolution of top chiefs of Army, he received the Honoris Causa,Golden Condor prize. It is the greatest honor granted to a civilian climber by Argentinian Army.  

 

 

Heber Orona

Certified Bilingual high altitude mountain guide and National Climbing Instructor ( Argentina). First Argentinean who climbed the Mt. Everest ( 8,848 meters ) by the North Route ( Tibet, in May of 1999) becoming the first person from this country t hat climb this mountain without artificial oxygen or the aid of high altitude porters. Has climbed all over the world (South America, North America, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa and Antártica). He has climbed Mt. Aconcagua 24 times by four different routes.  

 

 

Miguel "Lito" Sánchez

Bilingual high altitude mountain guide    

National Climbing Instructor ( Argentina).  

In 1990 he became the first Argentinean in climbing a 8.000 meters peak: Mt. Dhaulagiri I 8.172m in the Himalayas. He has climbed Mt. Aconcagua 41 times by four different routes. We are proud to have Miguel "Lito" Sanchez in our staff because hi is one of the best climbers in Argentina and hi is one of the precursors of the Mountain Activity in this country.

National Climbing Instructor. He has climbed Mt. Aconcagua 14 times. He has climbed in Perú (Huascarán, Artesonraju, Huandoy Sur, Chopicalqui, Churup)  

 

 

Augusto Ortega

From Peru, He made some first ascents of the mountains in his country and He led many mountaineering expeditions from the last 25 years, and has made ascents of many challenging peaks of the Andes: in Ecuador Chimborazo (16 times), Cotopaxi (20), Cayambe, Tungurahua, Pichincha and Rumiñahui; in Perú Huascaran (36), Alpamayo (30), Yerupaja, Huandoy, Artesonraju and many others, in Bolivia Illimani (12),    Huayna Potosí (16), etc.; In Argentina Aconcagua (48) The highest mountain in the western hemisphere. He has also challenged the Himalayas. In 1992 he became the first Peruvian to successfully climb Mt. Everest, (2) in 1998 Cho Oyu and in 1999 back to Everest, without oxygen, for the second time.

He is Tourism Technician, Trekking and Mountain Guide. He is finalizing his Degree in Recreation (oriented to the study of Social Sciences). He has more than 12 years of experience in diverse tourist activity in Argentina and Spain.    He is, at the moment, Technical responsible of the Tourism area of the National University of Cuyo. He is Professor of superior educative level institutions. He is assessor of many companies from the tourist activity among them AconcaguaTrek. He has developed his bilingual mountain work as guide in Bolivia, Perú, Sapin and Argentine ( Patagonia, Cuyo and Northwest ).    He counts with 18 expeditions to Aconcagua reaching its summit 6 times by three different routes.

In charge of logistics and general coordination of the activities that are needed to ensure the perfection of the expeditions and the quality of the service. Speaks Italian, English and Spanish. Actually attending the 5th year of an IT Engineering at U.A.D.E University ( Buenos Aires, Argentina).

In charge of logistics and customer attendance in Plaza de Mulas. She belong to our staff since 5 years ago. Her mountain experience make her essential in her work. She is Trekking Guide also.  

 

 

 

Daniel “Chapu” Vivares

Plaza de Mulas Camp -   Man in charge and cook  
He belong to our staff since almost 20 years ago. He is, in present time, our Greater Cook in Plaza de Mulas and he’s an authority between his camp mates because of his antiquity and his capacity. He is the "Mayor" of Plaza de Mulas.

Purchases and supplying - Radio Communications  

Since 1979 she is in charge of purchases, supplying of meal and another elements needed in our high camps, she’s   also who's in charge of radio communications from Mendoza base .
