LOS PUQUIOS CAMP SITE

LOS PUQUIOS is placed 1500 mts. before Puente del Inca from Mendoza. It is in front of the Cementerio de los Andinistas. The daily bus service (Expreso Uspallata) from Mendoza to Las Cuevas stops there if you ask the driver. If you come in Argentina from Chile, by road, you can also ask the driver stop there. 
 
LOS PUQUIOS (pure water spring in quechua) offer a serious and efficient service WITH TWENTY-FIVE YEARS of experience; transportation of equipments and materials by mules until upper Plaza de Mulas (4230 mts over sea level), Normal Route for reaching the summit of Aconcagua. The same services for the South Wall (Plaza Francia) and from the Polish Glaciar (Valle de las Vacas, Plaza Argentina). 
 
In the case of expeditions coming from Santiago de Chile to Mendoza city  to apply for a permits, we offer them a safe and convenient place to keep their mountain gear, avoiding the inconvenience of having to carry it while in the city and then back to the mountain. Many expeditions use this system. We safeguard all entrusted equipment until the members of the expeditions return with their respective climbing or trekking permits. In this way,  you will save overcharges and the trouble of carrying it to charge and discharge gear, in several opportunities, in Mendoza City 
 
The animals movement is monitored by radio communicating directly and simultaneously from LOS PUQUIOS to Plaza de Mulas, Plaza Argentina and Mendoza. 
 
It is also available to engage the hired transportation from Mendoza to Puente del Inca and backward, the anticipately getting of the ascension permissions, and other services. 
 
LOS PUQUIOS (in its place near Puente del Inca) gives climbers and trekkers a safe and secure area for camping (2700 mts over sea level) with restroon facilities, drinking water, snack bar, store, benzine (white gas), gas cartouches (Camping Gas) and souvenirs sale, and some equipment rent. 
 
Near there you can climb mountains higher than 3000 mts. and thus you can get the optimal aclimatation. 
 
The water sourge of LOS PUQUIOS gives athermal, half mineralized, sulphated, water with Bicarbonate and calcium. Chemistry analysis shows it bacterium free, so it is drinkable. 
 
There is a security service for your equipments in Plaza de Mulas and Plaza Argentina with your group climbing the summit.
